1. Turkiye Burslari Scholarship:

 Turkiye Burslari Scholarship 2024-25 is offered by the Turkish Government for students of bachelor's, Masters and PhD in various Turkish Universities. The scholarship grants a monthly stipend of 1000 TL, 1400 TL, and 1800 TL to Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. respectively, along with tuition fees, health insurance, accommodation, and return tickets for the students. Apart from offering educational scholarships, this program provides opportunities for students to enhance their experience. The applications for this program are open from 10 January 2024 to 20 February 2024.

2. Koc University Scholarship in Turkey:

Koc University Scholarship is offering scholarships to students of Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. Degree in Turkey. Koc University is one of the most prestigious and famous private universities in Turkey.  The university is awarding merit-based tuition scholarships of 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% to outstanding students each year (except for Medicine). The deadline to apply for spring application 2024 is DECEMBER 29, 2023. Applicants are informed in 4-6 weeks after the application deadline date of final admission decisions

3. Sabanci University Scholarships Turkey:

Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. Degree programs are available at Sabanci University. The Sabanci Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship program. Applications for the Sabanci University Scholarships in Turkey are open till August 29, 2024 (Online applications will be closed at 16:00 Turkish time.) The scholarship covers tuition fee costs and expenses of living for the years of study at Sabanci University.

4. Kadir Has a University Scholarship:

Students with Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees at the Kadir Has University in Turkey can be admitted on Scholarship. International students can apply without IELTS or TOEFL at this university. Fully funded partial scholarships are offered to international undergraduates under this program. Applications for the Kadir Has University Scholarships are open there is no specific application deadline for Kadir Has University Scholarships 2024 in Turkey. Students can apply throughout the year.

5. Bilkent University Scholarship:

Bilkent University is the 2nd top-ranked university in Turkey. Bilkent University Scholarship program is granting admission to international students in Turkey in 2024. Applicants from all around the world can study Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degree programs in Turkey. The Bilkent University Scholarship is fully funded and it will cover all the student’s expenses but international applicants who apply for financial assistance are evaluated according to their academic performance and their national and international exam scores and then granted a scholarship which may be partial. But if the student falls in merit, based on academic good grades he/she is granted a fully funded scholarship. The deadline to apply is July 2024.

2. Istanbul University:

Istanbul University is Turkey's biggest University. The university caters to several international students every year who want to study science, engineering, technology, and medicine. The average fee of this university for international students in bachelor's varies according to course, it generally starts from 700$ for the majors of the Faculty of Arts and reaches 1250$ for the specialization of architecture, 1500$ for the specialization of law, 2250$ for pharmacy, 2800$ for the specialization of dentistry and 4500$ for the specialization of human medicine, as for the tuition fees at the conservatory, it is 2250$, and the fee for diploma specializations is 700$. Admission requirements and documents list

In Turkey each university has its requirements for international students so once the students select their university, they should go through the application process of the university. However, there are a few basic requirements for admission to a Turkish university:

  • Eqvilance form
  • Consent Form
  • CNIC
  • Scanned diploma of secondary education / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
  • Transcripts of previous courses
  • Scanned passport and/or birth certificate
  • CV Resume
  • English Proficiency Test scores
  • Prof of scholarship
  • Recommendation Letters (at least 2)
  • Portfolio
  •  Research work/ writing samples (for master's degree recognition)

Visa requirements and documents list

To get Turkish ISA the students must be admitted to any Turkish University. Students have to fill out the visa application form and it should be submitted in the Turkish Embassy with the required documents which are as follows:

  • Visa Application form
  • Passport valid for at least 90 days
  • Letter of Acceptance from Turkish institution
  • Proof of fee payment(receipt)
  • Health Insurance proof certificate
  • Transcripts of all previous courses/degrees
  • Passport size pictures(biometric)
  • Police Clearance Certificate
  • Bank statement of at least 50 Euros per day
  • Financial resources proof
  • Travel Insurance

To get a residence permit in Turkey students have to apply for it within 1 month of their entrance in Turkey. The following are the documents required for applying for a residence permit:

  • Filled application form and receipt of paid fees
  • Travel documents: student visa along with passport and other relevant documents (2 copies)
  • Passport 4 photographs
  • Certificate/letter from the institution student gets admission mentioning the starting and ending dates of stay in Turkey.


Cost of Living in Italy

Turkey with its large and small cities varies in cost of living. The cost of living depends on the area or city they are residing. So before choosing the university especially, and area students should check the cost of living. However, the monthly cost of living ranges from 400-600 EUR on average. The standard living cost breakdown could be:

  • House rent (State Dormitory or university residence): 30–100 EUR/month
  • House rent of a private flat is 70–300 EUR/month
  • Food at a mid-range restaurant: 12 EUR
  • Transportation (train, bus, metro): 27 EUR/month

After study work permit/Future opportunities.

In Turkey, students are allowed to work while they study but there are certain SOPs:

  • To work in Turkey, students need a work permit.
  • To get a work permit a student should be registered full-time at a recognized university in Turkey
  •  Valid student visa.
  • Good academic performance
  • A job offer from a Turkish employer. Universities often help students with these steps.

Undergraduate Students are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week during their semester and full-time during holidays but their first year needs a Student Work Permit.

Graduate Students are permitted to do a part-time job for up to 30 hours during the week, often as research assistants, and can easily get a Work Permit without a bar of time.

After Graduation, students can apply for a one-year residence permit for employment.

Note: Being bilingual in English and Turkish is a plus, especially in tourism.
