Introduction

Qingdao University is a public university located in Qingdao, Shandong, China. It was established in 1985. The University covers an area of about 1.77 km² and comprises three campuses in different parts of Qingdao, with the main campus located in the east part of Shinan District. It contains more than  100 research labs, teaching, and research facilities are also well-equipped. The University has a library with a collection of more than 3,550,000 volumes. It has established over 120 exchange programs and collaborative relationships with more than 170 universities and institutions in over 20 countries and regions.

Specialty

Currently, the University contains 34 colleges and 100 undergraduate majors, including 11 major disciplines: literature, art, history, philosophy, science, engineering, medicine, economics, management, law, and education. Also, the University has nine post-doctoral mobile stations. It consists of 13 first-level doctoral programs, containing 78 second-level disciplines and two professional doctoral programs, including 18 professional fields; 37 first-level master's degree programs; 6 second-level master's degree programs, including 192 second-level fields; and 23 professional master's degree programs, covering 81 professional fields. Currently, the University has totals more than  46,000 enrolled students, among whom more than 9,600 are postgraduates and over 1,600 are international students.

Scholarship Details

The Qingdao University provides a Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B) to international students. The eligibility criteria for the Chinese Government Scholarship are, all applicants should be non-Chinese citizens. A candidate applying for a master's degree must be under 35 years old and hold a bachelor's degree, while for a doctoral degree, a candidate must be under 40 years old and have a master's degree. The scholarship coverage includes tuition fee, accommodation fee, living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance fee. The deadline and a living allowance of scholarship vary depending on the degree program and scholarship type. 

Admission Details

The Qingdao University opens its admission to international students. The admission process's eligibility criteria include a candidate must hold a high school degree, good health, previous outstanding performance, and a non -Chinese resident for undergraduate programs.
