1. Daad Scholarship for Pakistani Students

DAAD scholarship is designed by the government of Germany and is being offered to Pakistani students. The scholarship is awarded to the talented students who score high academic results. This scholarship program is offered to Pakistani students to help them in the continuation of their research work and higher studies. The scholarship has a duration of about 12 to 36 months that varies from program to program. The scholarship is available for master's and Ph.D. degrees.

An amount of 850,000 Euros per month is granted to master's students, while a monthly stipend of 120,000 Euros is awarded to Ph.D. students. There is also a research allowance of 23,000 Euros awarded. The students have to pay the fee for enrollment on their own, while the scholarship covers all the tuition fees. The cost of the stipend covers the health insurance and travel allowances as well. The eligibility criteria set for this scholarship program include:

  • Pakistani students should have a bachelor’s degree in their relevant fields.
  • The students must have scored excellent marks or grades that must be above average.
  • Language proficiency tests of IELTS are required with a minimum score of 6.


2. Heinrich Boll Scholarships

These scholarships are offered to international students, including those from Pakistan. The scholarship program is available for master's and Ph.D. degrees. The monthly stipend for a master's degree is worth up to 934 Euros, which helps cover tuition fees, health facilitation, and accommodation in some cases. While an amount of 1,200 Euros is granted to doctorate programs. Proof of German language proficiency certification is required with level B2 or DSH 2. This scholarship is awarded for about 2 to 3 years, sometimes extended for up to 12 months.

3. Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarships

This scholarship program is designed for both German and international students, to support the deserving students in their educational and future endeavors. This program is available for bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees.  The grant can be for up to 744 Euros per month, there is also a monthly flat-rate study fee of about 300 Euros per month. Health insurance worth 71 Euros is granted along with long-term insurance of care up to 15 Euros per month. The Ph.D. scholars with family or children can get an allowance of 155 Euros per month.
