Duration and Phases of Years in France

8 to 10 Years of Total duration in France is required for International Students, and the Whole MBBS Course in France is Divided into three phases.

Phase I (PCEM)

The first phase is a year of academic preparation for studying general medicine. There are two chances to pass in the first year. Students must pass a tough test at the end of the first year. For international students to move on to the next step, they must pass the exam with good grades.

Second Phase (DCEM)

It's been four years since the last wave. Those in their fourth year who want to move on to the third stage must have finished the second cycle and done well on theoretical exams. Third Round (DES)

The student can also work on and discuss a PhD project in medicine.
