Various scholarships are provided by the state, government, and universities to international students. Each scholarship has different criteria, and funding types are also different, which vary from program to program. Some of the basic scholarships are given as:
The Cyprus government offers scholarships to students based on their academic accomplishments and financial requirements. Greeks living abroad and Cypriots studying at the University of Cyprus and Cyprus University of Technology are eligible to apply for scholarships. The Republic of Cyprus' Ministry of Finance awards scholarships to Cypriot students studying abroad or in Cyprus based on their financial situation. Government scholarships, which pay between 10% and 20% of tuition, are awarded to students with outstanding academic records.
The Cyprus State Scholarship Foundation, in partnership with the relevant government department, grants scholarships to both international and Cypriot students. Study levels: undergraduate and graduate. Students registered in higher education institutions in Cyprus and international candidates who want to study in Cyprus are eligible.
Scholarships are offered to students by a limited number of higher education institutions in Cyprus, including Frederick University, the University of Nicosia, Cyprus International Institute of Management, the University of Cyprus, and the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus. Private universities and institutes in Cyprus grant scholarships in association with regional public and private groups.

Under first-cycle curriculums, scholarships of up to EUR 3,000 and for the second year, up to EUR 4,000 per year are available to students. Depending on the kind of grant and the degree of study, government scholarship amounts in Cyprus might vary. As a demonstration:
Students must complete the B2 level of Greek language course. To receive a B2 certificate, prospective candidates must complete a one-year Greek language course at the UCY School of Modern Greek (at their expense) before the commencement of undergraduate studies.
1. Scholarship for International Undergraduate Students: Selected applicants will get a 50% tuition reimbursement.
2. Academic Scholarship: Based on academic excellence, a scholarship of 50% to 100% of the cost of tuition will be given.
3. CUI Sports Scholarships: Students who have already competed for their country on national teams or are eager to join the university's sports team will be eligible to apply for these scholarships.
4. Graduate Scholarships 2025: Students wishing to enroll in Cyprus International University's master's and doctoral programs will be eligible to apply for the CIU graduate scholarships.
Selection for the Cyprus scholarship mainly depends on academic performance, grades from prior degrees, extracurricular activities, etc. Moreover, if the students cannot maintain a GPA over 3.0 in their academic duration, the scholarship will be withdrawn. Therefore, maintaining grades is crucial to receiving the scholarship for the whole tenure of your degree.
The College usually accepts applicants until the middle of January.
The estimated monthly costs for a family of four are $3,419.2 (3,060.9€) without rent; for a single person, they are $970.8 (869.1€) without rent.
International students, including Pakistani students, can work part-time during their studies. Part-time working hours are 20 hours per week during the academic semester. The minimum wage in Cyprus is around 5 Euros per hour. The income earned from part-time work can help Pakistani students bear their expenses and gain experience.
Students must leave the country within 60 days after completing their studies. Pakistani students can apply for work permits after completing their education. Students who get a job in Cyprus can apply for a work visa through an employment contract or an employer can apply for a work visa on the employee's behalf. If an employee isn't in Cyprus, then the visa invitation letter will be sent to the employee in his country to join the company. There are various job opportunities for Pakistani students related to their fields after graduation and students will earn the amount of 870 Euros per month in Cyprus.
